I recently aquired this camera off of Ebay in order to shoot pics of my aquarium fish...I bought a beat up DSC-S90 for spare parts and used to it take the pic of the DSC-S60...same Vario-Tessar that is like 38mm-117mm or something like that...

The other pic is my son...this camera is decent but my Contaflexes absolutely blow it out of the water picture quality wise... :)

I hope to add some neat aquarium shots to this thread some day...

It's funny to see "Tessar" on a Zoom lens. Somehow I doubt it is the same 4-element grouping like the Contaflex. Name recognition is the name of the game these days. Reminds me to put the 1932 Tessar onto the M8...

Interestingly enough these DSC-S60's, 80's, and 90's don't really bring squat on Ebay so I guess the "branding" doesn't help these particular cameras. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an excellent little P&S sporting Zeiss optics that is cheap...

Funny lower end models of the same vintage such as DSC-P41's and 43's bring significantly more money and they don't perform nearly as well...

The DSC-V1's and V3's with the Sonnar lens are a whole other matter...they seem to be high...I sure would like to have one.

I guess you can wring some bokeh out of one of these lens...and that ain't no fingerprint ridges on that prime either!!! I still have a lot to learn...
