Hi,

I know there are some adapters to mount Voigtländer Prominent lenses, like the original 50/1.5 Nokton, to LTM bodies. They seem to be quite expensive though.

Does our local wizard know of any "cheaper" adaptations ?

I guess it would be much more difficult than just using a J-3 like for the 50/1.5 Sonnars...

Well- I have a Voigtlander Prominent to S-Mount adapter, $50, (Contax style bayonet), and an S-Mount to LTM Amedeo ($200) adapter. Not cheap, but works.

The good news: the back-focus of the Voigtlander lens is "huge". It also has a big rear element. It would take a focus mount from a Canon 50/1.4 in LTM to adapt it. However: I have picked up several others focus mounts, and will try some more out. I have two of the Prominent 50/1.5's, one on the Priminent I Lever advance and the other on a Nikon RF.

I have the prominent 50f1.5 adapter to Nikon Rf mount adapter and I can stick that on a Nikon to Ltm adapter - and for use with the M's - just add a screw to bayonet adapter. Problem is that the value of the lens is exceeded by the value of the adapters!!!! Nice lens too - just shooting with it today on a S3,
