Well, I really have been thinking, just how many of these lenses are kicking around lately???
Quite a few people here have CZJ Sonnar T f1.5/50's ~ and since they are really the only somewhat verified lenses that were offically made in LTM/Leica Thread Mount by Zeiss for the Leica camera DURING WW2, I would like to take account just how many of them are still out there, active or in collections?
So I'm looking for now JUST the lenses in the #272xxxx series of production, which was believed to have been produced/delivered on or around January 29th 1943.
As I research more, I might? include the postwar #285xxxx series which was said to have been produced in December 1945 for the Russian Army.
Please if any owners would provide their serial number information and a small photo, this will all be collected and in the future be displayed at my "Wartime" Leica website, no personal information will be displayed, just general info's on the numbers and how many are registered as survivors.
Please write me directly to my email, don't post any of your information here in the thread.
