Hi,
I recently found a camera rummaging through things where I work and was told if I could fix it I could keep it. It's a neat little camera but the only identifying marks on it are the Zeiss Ikon logo on the back along with "Made in Germany" just below it. Looking through old models of Zeiss cameras I haven't found one that looks quite the same. I also know next to nothing about cameras so perhaps someone could help me out. Thanks.

The body looks similar to a Contaflex- but I am guessing it is a special purpose lens made for a microscope or other piece of scientific gear.

It is "uncommon".

The microscope would make sense based on where I got the camera from. At this point I'm attempting to disassemble and clean everything but am having some trouble. Any tips on how things come apart? The whole top silver portion moves a bit but is getting stuck on the roll advance knob, which I haven't been able to remove.

Look for set screws in the side of the knob. That is how the Contax RF is.

Otherwise, there has to be a retaining ring up top holding it in place.
