Sonnar formula lenses in Fixed-Lens Rangefinders are not common. The Walz Envoy 35 from the Late 1950s has a 7-element 5cm F1.9 Sonnar, coated optics. This is a very well made camera. It uses a leaflet shutter, also rare for a Sonnar. And it focuses to 2.7ft. I have not shot film through it yet, but have high-expectations. A lot of pride went into this well-made camera.

I popped the top and cleaned slight haze out of the finder. What a well made camera.

And I managed to get it back together again.

A welcome surprise, the Engineers thought ahead to wrap enough wire around the rewind compartment to pop the top and not break the Sync socket. Unlike Yashica's That I've worked on.

More photo's of popping the top. Retaining rings under Film Counter and Rewind Knob, and the screw to the wind-side. Release button will fall out, is Keyed.

I used a pair of needle-nosed pliers, fine tips, to take off the film counter.

A spanner with tips that can be pointed in for the retaining ring under the counter. I used pliers again, with tips that I filed down.

Regular spanner for the retaining ring under the rewind knob. The knob simply unscrews while holding the shaft down. Shaft and Knob both come off.

I'm posting these because as soon as I get pictures back from the Test Roll EVERYONE will want one...
