Hi to all and congratulations for this service.

Let's start with my first question about this product: "Zeiss Ikon SW".

I read product spec on Zeiss official website and I must be sincere: I still don't understand how to focus with this camera.

What I understand is that you must mount super wide lenses.

Could someone explain me how to use this camera.

Thanks in advance.

The SW has no viewfinder, thus no rangefinder, so the focus distance must be estimated or measured by the photographer. The camera has one hot shoe for a flash and a cold shoe (no flash contacts) for a clip in viewfinder. Viewfinders are made to match the lens' fields of view. The camera may use any M-mount lens, not just super wide angle lenses. This said, it is easier to produce well-focussed images with wide angle lenses because the greater depth of field of the wide angle lenses minimizes focus errors. Achieving good focus with an 85 f/2.0 would require exceptional skill or a great deal of luck.

Its similar to mine Cosina 107 SW but using LTM mount.
Same to Voightlander Bessa L. So far haven't test using lens more than 35mm

What does this particular system means ? I think it's very fast: you set the focus and then shot. I you set the system accurately you can shot always, everything with the right parameters. Isn't so ?

SW= Super Wide. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Basically this cam is used for landscaping. Originally using wide angle with external viewfinder. You need to use the external finder for ur framing and focusing as well. Like mine, using 15mm lens+ external viewfinder.

Let me add that with the large DOF on the wide angle lenses you can get away with scale focusing.
