I've got too many cameras that are just too nice to sit on a shelf. These are NOT going on Ebay, and I do not need the "last dollar on them". I've read on RFF that Konica S2 prices have gone insane.

This is an EX+ (almost mint-) Konica S2 with original Leather Case, Filter, front cap, and Xerox copy of the manual. You should read it: reminded me that the Self Timer only works on "X" and the lowest shutter speeds are not available on Auto. No Battery! I tested the meter with one of my good PX-625. If you use a 1.5v battery, set the ASA selector down about 2/3rds of a Stop. Battery is NOT required for operation.

I replaced the foam seals. They were like TAR. I used foam rubber, thicker than the original. I use it in all my cameras, works great, a little "springier" than the original. Back stays well-latched.

the VF/RF is clean -I cleaned it-. The meter works, flash sync works, self-timer works, shutter speeds all sound good. I have used this camera, it is in good working order.

The shutter speed ring is a little stiff as it is on Most S2's. It can be moved to all speeds without problem. 1/500th required more force, as I believe it sets an extra spring. When I got the camera, the ring was very stiff and I cleaned gunk out from under it.

PRICE: $90 shipped within the US via priority mail, $110 shipped overseas via global priority. I figure the "base price" as $80 plus shipping. That's about what you would pay for a CLA on a camera like this. This S2 does not need a CLA anymore...

I did not pay full price for it, neither will you!

Meter Needle (white) works properly, Auto works properly. REMOVE battery when not in use to Save Power.

My first real camera is the Minolta Hi-Matic 9, bought when I was 11. I still have it. The lens is as good as the Konica, and I plan on using it more. Today I had the Yashica Lynx 14e out. The electronic meter works after fixing a solder joint. I also gave it new seals when I did this Konica.

Well, it doesn't feel right to me, either. The rope solution did not work. Engine is way to heavy. Maybe I need to go to the gym first ; )
