No personal attacks. Disagreements will happen, but don't insult one another. If provoked, use the Ignore function, notify a mod/admin, or handle the dispute outside the forums.
Don't use the forums for illegal activity. This includes but is not limited to posting links to or trading pirated photography-related applications.
No obscene, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory posts or signatures.
All transactions in the Marketplace should be photography related.
Commercial vendors (camera dealers, etc) should post items for sale in the Outside Auctions and Commercial Vendor Listings (http://ziforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14) forum.
Don't spam the forums. Some self-promotion is okay if it follows the guidelines below.
Guidelines regarding self-promotion in the Zeiss User Forums:
Members who maintain outside Zeiss or photography related resources can feel free to promote them in these forums. For example, if you review a Zeiss lens on your site, by all means post to notify us of the review and link to it. We all benefit from knowing about outside resources and having experts participating in these forums.
Feel free to use your signature to link to your website(s), but use common sense. For example, if your sig links to a commercial website, don't spam the forums with meaningless posts in order to get your advertisement everywhere.
If you're selling a product, do not multiple post, mass PM, or mass email members about it. It is permissible, however, to post regarding your goods and services when relevant to a particular thread. For example, if someone posts asking where to send a camera for repair, and you repair cameras, it is okay to post to that effect.
