Sites where you have to pay to obtain the reviews are not helpful.

I will mark the paid subscription (both generally held in very high regard by those who have purchased them) sites as such, so they will be easier to ignore for those who find them unhelpful. If you know of good free resources, let us know!

The pay sites have to be "worth it" or they won't survive, and one must usually put up with advertising on the free sites.

It's common to think that advertising support results in reviews hedged to be diplomatic with advertiser's products. And I think there is a hesitancy to be harshly critical, plus giving the supplier an opportunity to correct problems before the article is released.

But I think this is somewhat true for a pay site as well, where they're dependent on free review samples from vendors. Either way, there's some very helpful information available, and the reader may learn to "read between the lines."

Congrats on the new lens and on the post tally - always good to see long term members who are still active on the forums.
